Campus Ministry

At Assumption, we believe in the development of the whole person –mind and body, heart and soul. Campus Ministry plays a key role in the life of this campus as it encourages all members of the college community to be seekers of truth and to bring about a world of justice, peace and love.

Campus Ministry is open to all people of faith. Its mission is carried out through liturgies and prayer services, retreats to further spiritual development, community service opportunities and service trips throughout the world, discussion groups that focus on a variety of topics, as well as outreach to those of other (or no) faith traditions who seek to deepen their spiritual lives."

The Campus Ministry Office is located in the Tinsley Campus Ministry Center and has two offices in the Charlie's area of the Hagan Campus Center.

Tinsley Campus Ministry Center

Assumption’s 8,800-square-foot Tinsley Campus Ministry Center, dedicated in 2012 plays a crucial role in the pastoral, liturgical and social life of the College. The Center, which is attached to Assumption’s Chapel of the Holy Spirit, provides individual offices for private conversations with students and staff, an interfaith prayer room for students of all faith traditions and the Lauring Community Room for student use, as well as for receptions, lectures and other programs. A conference room provides a space for small group discussions, Bible study, and meetings among the Campus Ministry staff.

The Tinsley Center is also home to the Heritage edition of The Saint John’s Bible. Assumption is the only place in Massachusetts, and third in New England, to own this magnificent work.

The Tinsley Center serves as a place of welcome and hospitality to all members of the Assumption College community.
