A campus where beauty meets opportunity

Nearly 80 percent of Assumption students choose to live on campus all four years—and you likely will, too. Why? Because living at Assumption means experiencing the best of two worlds: the chance to live on a beautiful, traditional, lively New England college campus—while enjoying easy access to all that the dynamic city of Worcester has to offer.

  • Assumption’s gorgeous campus is located in a historic, residential neighborhood in Worcester, MA. You’ll experience the seasons on our wooded 185-acre campus—complete with a tranquil duck pond and plenty of space for recreation, relaxation, and reflection.
  • The vibrant city of Worcester, MA—New England’s second-largest city—is home to 35,000 college students, and the city fully caters to their needs. You’ll have endless opportunities to learn, grow, and have fun in Worcester. You’ll benefit from life-changing internships, world-class resources for recreation, and fabulous dining, shopping, and entertainment options.

A small-town feel within a major city

Cheer on your favorite Greyhound basketball players in the Laska Gymnasium. Catch an improv comedy show in Charlie’s. Study in the Emmanuel d’Alzon Library. Swim laps in the Plourde Recreation Center’s six-lane pool. Grab lunch with friends at the newly renovated Taylor’s Dining Hall.

Assumption may be located in a major city, but its campus feels like a small, bustling New England town. We have our own sports teams, music and theater groups, lecture series, dining establishments, television station, newspaper, post office, well-equipped fitness center, well-stocked library, and so much more. Ours is a community of inspiring people, great friends, and all the amenities and activities you need to lead a full, balanced, healthy life—mentally, physically, socially, and spiritually.

A broad range of residences

From your first day on campus to your last, you have the guarantee that on-campus housing will be available to you. Start off in one of our many first-year residents that are located in the heart of campus and then move to one of our apartments and townhouses. Learn more about the residential hall we have here on campus.

Delicious, diverse food options

Enjoy a meal with your friends at our newly renovated dining hall or head to Chucks in between classes and activities to get a made-to-order meal or grab-and-go meal. Whatever you choose, Assumption offers a broad range of food choices and resources sure to delight any palate or dietary restriction.

Housing for graduate students

Graduate students enrolled in a minimum of eight course credits are eligible for on-campus housing in the Aubuchon Townhouses. Located in a spot that feels secluded from campus but is still near academic buildings, it is a great area to reside in. Equipped with two, six-person, three bedroom homes with a shared kitchen, living room, and bathroom, this residence hall offers graduate students the chance to reside on campus and connect with the Assumption community.
