CTEQ Pre-College Summer Program
Each summer, high school students from across New England and around the country join Assumption University professors for a competitive pre-college program that introduces rising high school seniors to undergraduate studies in the liberal arts. Living on Assumption University’s 185-acre campus for the week, participating students gain firsthand experience of studying the humanities in a university setting. Our pre-college program gives high school students the opportunity to study great works of philosophy, literature, art, political science, and theology with nationally known faculty—as they simultaneously meet new friends and experience what collegiate academic and social life is like.
Rome Summer Program
Located in a safe residential neighborhood next to one of the largest parks in Rome, housing is at the University’s Rome campus, a short twenty-minute walk from Vatican City. Experience authentic Italian cuisine prepared on-site by a Roman chef. Housing is in double rooms with a private bath. Wifi is available throughout the fully updated building, which includes a state-of-the-art classroom, in-house laundry facilities, and lounge.
Summer Research
Assumption offers students several options for applying for paid summer research internships. Summer research students work directly with a professor for 10 weeks during the summer break. These competitive positions are full-time commitments for the entire 10 week period and give students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in research. Research internships are available through the Psychology Department, Honors Program, and Center for Neuroscience.
