Assumption Launches New Post-Bachelor’s Accelerated Cybersecurity Track
Assumption University has announced a new Post-Bachelor’s Accelerated Track in Cybersecurity, with the first cohort of students beginning in the spring 2025 semester. This program enables those who have already obtained a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education to earn a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity from Assumption in as few as 14 months.
“This is a perfect program for those interested in taking advantage of the tremendous employment opportunities, capitalizing on their well-rounded education, and making a significant positive contribution to the cybersecurity of our increasingly digital world,” said Raymond Albert, Cybersecurity Program Director.
The new cybersecurity track will be offered fully online, with a blend of synchronous and asynchronous courses. The curriculum taught is recognized by the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).
Assumption University was designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) by the NSA in 2023. Assumption is one of only five institutions in Massachusetts with this designation, which ensures that the cybersecurity program meets the rigorous standards for cyber defense education. Students who graduate from CAE-CD designated programs are assured to enter the workforce with excellent technological knowledge and skills.
Applications for the program are now open and will be accepted through December 15 for the cohort entering in the spring 2025 semester. Summer and fall sessions will also be offered, each with their own admission deadlines. Please visit the official Post-Bachelor’s Accelerated Cybersecurity Track webpage for more information on admission deadlines, the program, and to access the program application.
