Commencement Weekend Schedule
The University community is eagerly anticipating Commencement Weekend 2002.
The Baccalaureate Mass will be presided over by the Most Reverend Robert J. McManus, Bishop of the Diocese of Worcester, on Saturday, May 7 at 5 p.m. in the Plourde Center on the Assumption University Campus. (Please feel free to park in any of the University lots.)
The Commencement Ceremony will be held at the DCU Center, 50 Foster Street, Worcester, at 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 8. Tickets are not required for the Ceremony and seating is first come, first served. All Undergraduate and Graduate degrees will be presented in person at this event. A livestream can be watched here.
Larry Lucchino, Boston Red Sox Hall of Famer and Chairman & Principal Owner of the Worcester Red Sox, will deliver the Commencement address during Assumption’s 105th Commencement exercises on Sunday, May 8, at the DCU Center in downtown Worcester. Lucchino, along with Paqui Kelly, co-founder and board president of the Kelly Cares Foundation, and Wendy M. Wright, Ph.D., professor emerita of theology at Creighton University, will receive honorary degrees during the ceremony. The University will also honor President Emeritus Francesco C. Cesareo, Ph.D. and his wife, Filomena Cesareo, Esquire, J.D.
