Travel Tuesday: Sam Malone ’21

For the spring semester, Sam Malone, ’21, chose to study abroad at Assumption Rome. Having a program that is unique to Assumption, Sam loves the security of having 20 other Assumption students make him feel comfortable so far from home. “I’m inspired by my daily interactions with Romans in shops and on the streets. Our conversations have motivated me to continue to learn Italian, and grow more proficient in the language day by day.” Sam has traveled outside the country before Assumption Rome when he had an opportunity to visit China. “It was a fantastic experience, and being able to live in a city for even such a small period of time is life-changing.” Sam highly encourages his peers to study abroad due to how distinct the overall experience is compared to the typical day at Assumption Worcester. “This experience will undoubtedly change me going forward.”
