Family Weekend 2024

Assumption University’s Campus Activities Board presents Family Weekend 2024 from Friday, September 27th through Sunday, September 29.

Throughout the weekend there will be a variety of activities around campus for family members of all ages. Highlights of the weekend include the Football Home Opener game on Friday, CAB’s Fall Festival, various Assumption sports games, and other exciting events. Please see below for the full schedule. 

2024 Schedule

  • 5:00pm to 7:30pm – Dinner in Taylor Dining Hall
    Enjoy a meal in the dining hall with your student! Students may use a meal swipe.  Families may purchase tickets at the door. 

    6:00pm – Football Home Opener vs. Post University
    All tickets for the game will be sold at the gate.  Kickoff at 6:00pm. 

    7:00pm-11:00pm- Pierre’s Pub & Lounge
    Enjoy a drink where everyone is sure to eventually know your name!   

    7:00pm – 10:00pm – Dueling Pianos
    Join us in Pierre’s for some refreshments, a drink, and an evening with Flying Ivories Dueling Pianos.  Dueling pianos is a high-energy musical showdown where two pianists take audience requests and turn them into an epic live performance. It’s a totally interactive experience that will have you  singing, laughing and dancing along all night. 

  • 10:00am-12:00pm – Check-in, Hagan Lobby
    Families are welcome to stop by the Hagan Lobby to grab a schedule of events, head to the Hagan Café and enjoy a delicious breakfast sandwich, Caribou Freshly Brewed Coffee and the most delicious pastries and desserts you can imagine.    

    10:00am – Honors Induction Ceremony, Curtis Performance Hall
    Join us in welcoming and honoring this year’s Honors Inductees. 

    11:00 am – 2:30 am Brunch, Taylor Dining Hall
    Enjoy breakfast at the dining hall with your student! Students may use a meal swipe.  Families may purchase tickets at the door. 

    11:00am – Women’s Volleyball vs. Stonehill
    Cheer on your fellow Greyhounds at the Andrew Laska Gymnasium.  

    12:00pm – 4:00pm – CAB Fall Carnival, Central Campus & Piazza
    Enjoy the spirit of the Fall season with CAB and their Fall Carnival.  Come enjoy fall-themed snacks, games, Bingo* and more!  Win great prizes the whole family will enjoy!  (*Bingo space is limited and on a first-come, first served basis!) 

    1:00pm – Field Hockey vs. Mercy University
    Cheer on your fellow Greyhounds at the Brian Kelley ’83 Stadium. 

    1:00pm – Women’s Tennis vs. American International College
    Cheer on your fellow Greyhounds at the Assumption Tennis Courts. 

    4:00pm – Women’s Volleyball vs. Southern New Hampshire University
    Cheer on your fellow Greyhounds at the Andrew Laska Gymnasium.  

    5:00pm- 7:30pm – Dinner in Taylor Dining Hall
    Enjoy dinner as a family in Taylor Dining Hall and we will do the dishes!  Students may use a meal swipe.  Families may purchase tickets at the door.

    7:00pm-11:00pm- Pierre’s Pub & Lounge
    Swing in for a drink, great music and a boardgame or two.  Make sure to say hello to Jared, our Pub Manager, too!

    8:00pm – Comedy Hypnotist: Nadeen Manuel, Curtis Performance Hall
    Award Winning Hypnotist Nadeen Manuel has hypnotized well over a hundred thousand people for almost two decades; providing comedy hypnosis shows that cater to all demographics.     10:00pm- Dessert Bike, Tsotsis Piazza
    Enjoy a late-night Fall treat under the starts before you head home or back to your hotel.  There is nowhere better to be than on the Assumption Campus in the Fall!   

  • 10:00am – Sunday Morning Mass
    Celebrate Sunday Mass with other families and members of the Assumption community. 

    11:00am – 2:30pm Sunday Brunch
    Nothing says Sunday like a hearty brunch to fill you up!  Grab one final family meal of the weekend before you head home!  Students may use a meal swipe.  Families may purchase tickets at the door. 

    Women’s Golf Northeast-10 Championship, Day One
    Head on over to Blackstone National Golf Course in Sutton, MA and cheer on your fellow Greyhounds!
