Assumption University follows a policy of billing the student directly. Students receive their billing statements electronically through their Student Account Center within student portal at https://myportal.assumption.edu.

Students can grant others access to their student account using the add Authorize party button within Student Account Center in the student portal.  Once your student has added you as an Authorized party an email will be sent to the authorized person from Nelnet with instructions to create their online account.  If you have questions pertaining to student account center or the Authorized party invite, please call 800-609-8056.

Financial Aid: If you have applied for financial aid and received a financial aid award offer, the amount of financial aid will be reported as pending/anticipated financial aid on your electronic bill and within student account center under transaction details.

If you are applying for a private or PLUS loan to pay your bill, you will need to be approved for the loan; complete the necessary promissory note; and if required by the lender, have loan certification completed by the Office of Financial Aid.  Once these steps are completed, the loan will be reported as pending/anticipated financial aid on the bill and within student account center under transaction details. Please be aware that some loans have an origination fee withheld by the lender. If you plan to use a private/Federal PLUS loan to pay your educational bill, please allow at least three weeks from the time of loan approval to the time it will appear on your bill.

If you have questions concerning the loan process or the financial aid reflected on your bill, please contact the Office of Financial Aid at 508-767-7158 or fa@assumption.edu.

529 Plans: If you are using funds from a 529 account as payment toward your bill, we highly recommend that the owner of the 529 plan have the funds electronically transferred to their own bank account and then make a one-time payment through the student account center.  This will allow you to have documentation that the funds disbursed to the student account, as well as save on the time delay in receiving and processing a paper check.

Payment Plan: Assumption University offers a monthly payment plan administered by Nelnet. The Monthly Payment Plan allows you to spread your education expenses over smaller monthly installments, which are paid over the course of the semester. Enrollment in the payment plan is easily made through the Student Account Center in the student portal or with your Authorized party online account.

The fall 2024 payment plan starts July 1 with enrollment opening June 25, 2024.  The July 1 payment and the enrollment fee are due upon enrollment.

Once you have made your initial payment with your enrollment fee within student account center you will then select your monthly payment due date the 1st or 15th of the month.  With the following payment due August 1 or 15, September 1 or 15 and October 1 or 15. Nelnet will automatically process these future payments.

After July 22, enrollment in a 3-month payment plan is available.

Please note that delinquent payment plans will be canceled, and the outstanding balance is immediately due.  Also, the student will no longer be eligible to participate in the monthly payment plan option for future semesters.

This process must be completed each year.  The student medical insurance rate for 2024/2025 is $4,090.
