Travel Tuesday: Garrett Logan ’21
Garrett Logan ‘21, a political science major, has always had an interest in the different cultures expressed in the city of Rome. “I have always wanted to go to Italy to see the stunning architecture Rome has to offer. Rome has a unique history with many distinct eras such as the Renaissance and the Roman Empire.” Studying abroad this semester at Assumption’s Rome campus, Garrett has had first-hand experience with immersing himself in a different culture. “One example of cultural difference I’ve experienced is having to put the barcode on produce yourself when you buy fruit, and some cafes charge extra for sitting down to eat.” His most memorable experience was seeing the Coliseum and being in awe of how massive it was in person.
